My Thoughts: I loved reading about Vic as a kid and her bridge that can take her anywhere. Is it real? Is it her imagination? I was anxious reading about when she first finds Manx. I didn’t think she would escape (even though the summary clearly tells you she does, lol). This childhood really messed her up, though.
I hated how Vic turned out as an adult, but it was totally understandable considering what happened to her as a child. I do like that she was finally trying to turn her life around. Her character development was well written.
Manx was a creep, through and through. He was written very well as the villain.
I liked the, I guess paranormal? magical?…not sure…aspects of the book. The bridge, Christmasland, Manx’s aging. It was all interesting and a little scary.
The ending was really good, too. Perfect for a book like this.
